Peter Kochenburger Named to New York Consumer Protection Task Force

Professor Peter Kochenburger has been appointed to a three-year term on the new Consumer Protection Task Force of the New York Department of Financial Services. The mission of the task force is to help strengthen the state's consumer protection laws.

Professor Sachin Pandya Serves as Working-Paper Discussant at Association of American Law Schools Annual Meeting

Professor Sachin Pandya served as a working-paper discussant at the annual meeting of the Association of American Law Schools on Jan. 4, 2020, at a panel titled, "New and Emerging Voices in Workplace Law." It was jointly sponsored by the Association of American Law Schools sections on employment discrimination law and on labor relations and employment law.

Joseph MacDougald '96 Honored for Energy Work

Professor Joseph MacDougald '96, executive director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Law, received a 2019 Excellence in Energy Award from the Connecticut Power & Energy Society on Dec. 11, 2019. The award, which recognized MacDougald for his influence in shaping the Connecticut energy landscape, was presented at the society's annual holiday party at the Connecticut Science Center on Dec. 11, 2019.  

Alexandra D. Lahav to Speak at AALS Annual Meeting

Professor Alexandra D. Lahav will speak at the Litigation and Remedies Joint Program at the 2020 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Schools in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 4, 2020. She will moderate a panel discussion on how voting rights remedies are administered, their timing and their limitations.
