The Insurance Law Center staff is dedicated to creating an open and welcoming environment for students studying insurance law.
Carrianna Field is the primary contact for all international students in the Insurance Law LL.M. program. In addition, Carrie coordinates logistics for international visiting scholars to the Insurance Law Center and, in conjunction with the Storrs campus, provides international visitors with immigration support. Carrianna earned her J.D. at UConn Law in 2007, was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November 2007 and practiced at Pullman & Comley, LLC, until joining the Law School in July of 2013.
Yan Hong, Director of Insurance Law Research, specializes in insurance law research and teaches research methodology for using insurance resources. She provides expert research assistance to faculty and professionals from academia, law firms and corporations around the country and abroad. In addition, Yan, in her capacity as Head of Asian Law Initiatives, assumes the responsibilities of promoting the UConn Law School, exploring cooperative opportunities with law schools in China and counties in Asia, and coordinating/planning co-sponsored academic programs and related exchange activities with her counterparts in Asian countries. Yan also handles international visiting scholar applications and provides help with visa process and related services. Yan Hong received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Brigham Young University and her B.A. from Sichuan International Studies University in China.
