Giancarlo is the Founder and CEO of Magiq, an AI-powered SaaS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform designed to streamline workflows, optimize decision-making, and improve efficiency in insurance.

Previously, Giancarlo was Chief Operating Officer at Cover Whale, where he played a pivotal role in scaling monthly GWP growth from $5M to $27M in just 12 months. He focused on refining operations, optimizing processes, and leading teams to expand into new markets.

At Swyfft, as General Counsel and VP of Claims, Giancarlo managed legal and regulatory compliance during a period of rapid growth, overseeing monthly GWP growth from $1M to $10M in 18 months. His work navigated complex regulatory landscapes while creating process changes in claims handling, resulting in greatly improved loss ratios.

Giancarlo has also worked as an advisor and consultant to early-stage, venture-backed companies across the InsurTech, HealthTech, and FinTech sectors. His advisory work focuses on strategy and operational rigor to enable fast growth in highly regulated environments.

Before focusing on tech highly regulated industries, Giancarlo practiced law in commercial litigation, specializing in complex subrogation and risk transfer issues in insurance, including CGL, E&O, and D&O. He also worked at ACE Group (now Chubb) in Professional Lines and served as Chair of the New York State Bar’s Insurance Law Committee.

Giancarlo holds a B.A. in Political Science and Government & International Relations from The George Washington University and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
